edemfilo.com/wp-content/4551.php The Young, Black and Proud scholarship program is now open! These nominations are for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people under the age of 25 to apply for one of the many scholarships for those wanting to get further in sport, the arts or achieving academically, either at school, TAFE or University. The QFCC is again partnering with ATSICHS to deliver this state-wide program, celebrating the talents and strengths of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people who exhibit outstanding promise — but who may lack the support and resources to fulfil their potential.
No doubt the nominees will again be a strong talent pool with many success stories to share.

Which category should I choose? There are three categories that you can apply for: education and training primary, secondary and tertiary , the arts and sports. Sport: The sports scholarship category provides funds for up and coming young Indigenous athletes to help them successfully participate in the sports of their choice. Young people sometimes find it difficult to meet the ongoing and significant costs associated with participation at sporting competitions.
You can receive funds towards educational or training goals. Funds can be used to pay for such things as course fees, equipment, uniforms, text books and stationery. Arts: This category is for innovative young Indigenous artists to undertake professional development programs and activities in their chosen field.
